United and launched "Light for Ukraine" project

The media company "What Took You So Long?", Ukrainian railways Ukrzaliznytsia, and PEREMOGA Charitable Foundation have teamed up to create the Light for Ukraine project, which provides thousands of Ukrainians with long-lasting candles.

The organizers of the initiative managed to raise €43,000 for the project and produce 25,000 candles, each of which can burn for 90 hours, which are already being distributed to passengers traveling to frontline cities, namely: Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, and others.  Made in blue and yellow colors and with a special wrapper with the inscription "True light is in the heart of every Ukrainian," these candles will remind citizens of their cultural values, give hope and support Ukrainian families with light.

As part of the Light for Ukraine project, on February 10, Kyiv Central Railway Station hosted a festive event to mark the departure of the first train with candles to the city of Zaporizhzhia. Famous Ukrainian performers - Lyusya Kava, AKKO Quartet, ULIANA ROYCE DEMCHUK, Leroy, Misha Romanova, and Tamerlan Alena - sang for all passengers and guests of the capital, reminding them that even in the darkest times there is always room for joy.
